Have you ever dreamt of exploring Morocco on a trail bike? If you do, then, consider an adventure with Wilderness Wheels Morocco. Join this 5 days of riding starting from Marrakech and finishing in Ouarzazate. You will explore two full days of coastal riding with some faster desert sections and Anti-Atlas Mountains. Enjoy this thrilling riding experience!
During this tour, you will generally stay in 3-star hotels, most of which feature swimming pools, bars, and televisions. In order to operate the tours through the most challenging or beautiful routes, in a couple places you will stay in remote auberges or guesthouses, which are a bit more rustic in nature. You will always have a hot shower, a delicious meal, and a warm bed at the end of the day.
Bivouacs can be arranged upon special request. Your tour price is based on double occupancy (shared twin rooms), which means you will be sharing a room with another client. If you would like to have a room for yourself, this can be arranged for a supplementary fee. Depending on the number on tour, a single supplement will be shared during the tour.
20 minutes northwest of Marrakech, the rolling hills, flat plains and the gentle curves make a perfect start to the tour, allowing you to get accustomed to your bike. As the afternoon progresses, the pistes will become increasingly more scenic. The rolling hills, combined with a rocky, technical section make for an exciting ride. The day reaches its climax as you will cut through a beautiful, mature forest to the northeast of Essaouira.
You will have a morning of pure beach riding on the deserted beaches of Essaouira. Occasional cliff top tracts to connect the beaches are challenging and hugely enjoyable. Fuel and coffee stop mid-morning is followed by another beach and some small dunes. You will have lunch at Sidi Kaouki, followed by a pleasant afternoon on faster trails that will take you through the Argan Forests south of Agadir bringing you to your evening accommodation in Imsouane.
A unique coastal footpath will take you round a peninsula that is shared with grazing goats and camels. You will keep as close as possible to the beach all the way down to Agadir where you will stop at the fishing port for lunch. Escaping Agadir, you will head straight into the eucalyptus forest near Ait Melloul. Some highly enjoyable sand tracks in this forest will lead you eventually to the coast again which you will follow south as far as Massa where you will spend your final night on the coast.
You will start your longest day of riding heading across the farming plains of the Souss Valley on sandy tracks. A good level of strength and stamina is needed for this section. A mountainous section in the afternoon will bring you to the town of Taliouine, the center of saffron production in Morocco.
You will go on the remote mountain tracks in the Jbel Siroua and have lunch in Tazanakht for your final tagine lunch. There is an option of a quick route back to Ouarzazate for those wanting the pool and the bar. Alternatively, you can finish the tour with some more technical riding for those who haven’t yet used up all their stamina.
Once a champion, always a champion. If one bike in the hard-fought E2 class has until now had what it takes to be the series winner, then that bike is the 450 EXC. And so it should stay! Ultra-modern technology is used both in the chassis and also in the ultra-powerful SOHC engine, which further perfects one of the most successful of off-road bikes. The result is an extremely light, agile, and immensely powerful high-tech race bike which once again raises the bar a whole step higher for the opposition. Powerful, with perfect power delivery and excellent durability. Pure energy!
Wilderness Wheels Morocco has a full line of motocross and enduro riding gear, including Fox helmets, Scott goggles, body armor, Fox elbow and knee pads, Fox and Shift jerseys, gloves and riding trousers and Fox boots.
